The first time I’d met the lovely Riley and Liam was the same day as their wedding! They live in Australia and came back home to tie the knot in front of family and friends. They were just as nice in person as they’d been organising the wedding with me over the net.

Riley and her girls got ready right in the heart of Wellington City in a high rise apartment. It’s fair to say it was rather compact but we got creative with the space and the photos came out clean and uncluttered. We had lots of time to capture fabulous work of make up artist Kristy Leigh. Riley was such a stunning bride and her dress and veil, from Luv Bridal, fitted her beautifully. Her flowers were probably one of the most gorgeous blooms I’ve every seen. Well done Twisted Willow!

We headed off to Ohariu Farm for the ceremony and reception, expertly hosted by the wonderful Nick and Zena. They are so good at what they do. Always nice to catch up with celebrants who I’ve worked with in the past – Patricia is such a lovely, genuine person, perfect for keeping everyone calm when the emotions run high. She’s also a pro at making sure everyone drinks plenty of water and remembers to eat – so many brides forget to!

We hit the paddocks for some serious wind swept country inspired images and even did a spot of 4WD to get down to a picturesque river crossing. It was so worth the little drive. Oh and how good did that veil look in the pics? If you’re considering whether or not to wear one – do it! Nothing screams elegant bride than delicious flowing tulle!!

A beautiful meal, touching speeches and dessert rounded off the night with of course a pretty setting in front of Ohariu Farm’s fire for the first dance. Congratulations Riley and Liam. We wish you a lifetime of happiness.
