A true coastal wedding set on the shores of Wellington’s Lyall Bay. For a change, we spent the getting ready time with the lads. Stuart and his team looked very smart in their Munns’ suits. Natalie arrived in her bridal car perhaps fashionably a little late! She was worth the wait though and looked stunning in her beautiful gown. Jade Scott had done an impeccable job with both hair and makeup.

The wedding chapel at The Pines is simply stunning with it’s floor to ceiling windows facing the sea, direct sun streaming in. A little challenge on the photography side of things – I’m glad I went and had a few test shots before the ceremony! This chapel is equally impressive at night too – look for the night shot at the end of the video.

Celebrant Tia Minnoch did a fabulous job of officiating the ceremony. The happy couple said their vows, exchanged rings and officially tied the knot. There is a nice backdrop outside the chapel which we used for family photos – using a slither of shade to hide from the hot sun.

Given our fabulous location, we headed to the beach for the photos with Nat and Stu and their great looking bridal party. It was a very blustery day so we had plenty of hair and dress movement. So much fun. We had a quick drive around to the airport to have a play in some awesome concrete structures by the runway. Did you know they’re in an koru type pattern – only discovered this when I flew over them a few weeks later in a helicopter wedding.

The Pines put on a beautiful spread of food, the staff were friendly and professional. The speeches were particularly touching at this wedding – I just loved the words spoken by Nat’s Grandad. Very special. Once the gorgeous cake (Clever Cakes) was cut, the band kicked off and guests danced away into the night – the oldest and the youngest carved up some awesome moves!

Nat and Stu, it was really special to spend the day with your beautiful family – reckon you’ve got one of the cutest flower girls in town! Check out the video after the gallery below.
